In May 2010, Italvibras G Silingardi SpA of Fiorano, Italy retained Key Builders to oversee the construction of their North American headquarters.
The 10,500 square foot pre-engineered metal building includes 2,100 square feet of general office space and 8,400 square feet dedicated to warehousing, distribution, product customization and service. The building also incorporates design concepts that allow for expansion as the company’s business grows. In addition to equipment normally found in an industrial distribution facility, Italvibras USA incorporated 12 Daylite Natural Lighting light wells to maximize the availability of natural light and to minimize the company’s annual utility costs.
Italvibras G Silingardi SpA is a recognized leader in the development and manufacturer of industrial electric vibrators and has other distribution facilities in locations around the world.
“This was a great project,” says Troy Johnson, project manager for Key Builders. “The Italvibras team, their architects (the Chicago office of Harley Ellis Devereaux), the other professional service providers and our trade contractors were the best. We had a very demanding schedule, made more challenging by Illinois’ unpredictable weather, but we got the work completed on time and within the client’s budget requirements.”
