In 2008, Festival 56 brought Key Builders a daunting challenge: help the organization achieve its dream of having its own theater by converting an old newspaper facility into the Grace Performing Arts Center.
For several years, Festival 56 had brought summer theater performances to their community using nonstandard spaces like school auditoriums and parks. Now they had raised the money to create a home of their own.
Key Builders’ management experience, refined project management techniques, and construction job costing expertise helped the group maximize its dream on a minimal budget. Key created unique designs for the lobby ceiling with gorgeous lines and angles. Designers took special trips to Chicago to study theaters and bring concepts back to the client. Throughout the project, Key made special efforts to use local contractors as a way of giving back to the community.
From the Client
