When the time came to transform an old grocery store into a state-of-the-art library, the Princeton Public Library tapped Key Builders to create an attractive, multipurpose facility that the whole community could be proud of.
A: First and foremost, Key Builders’ best quality is their ability to deliver the best construction product at the most competitive price. Second would be that their staff and attention to detail are incredible. We were also very impressed with their work ethic. Our project started on time and completed early.
A: The good thing is that we didn’t have any particularly difficult problems. There were no major incidents. But consistently throughout the project there were minor problems that arose, as would be the case with any construction project, and Key always worked with us to resolve these issues. They were dogged in their pursuit to resolve the problems. Even with all of the subcontractors that they used, they were always on our side, protecting the integrity of the building and the construction.
A: It really made us feel great.
A: Key Builders’ project manager and field superintendent were fantastic, because they were there every day. They were the conduit from us as the client to the subs. They take it so personally that everything goes well. In Key Builders’ weekly status meetings, they went through the project in detail.
A: If we had a problem, they fixed it. After the project was long finished, if I had a question or comment or problem, they were very easy to communicate with to resolve it. They didn’t just drop us and run once the whole project was over. It was easy for the board to work with them. On behalf of the taxpayers of Princeton, Key Builders made sure that everything that was supposed to be done was completed and that all work was performed to the highest standards.
A: Since we are a taxing body, we had to do this through the due process of law. Through our process, I know that they were the lowest bid, coming in well-below some of their competitors. Yet throughout the project we never found in any way that they were cutting corners either on materials or with contractors. So they were truly the best choice.
