Don Kotecki of Machinery Maintenance Inc. has contracted with Key Builders several times for additions and new construction.
A: We are a maintenance contractor, so we don’t get into the building area. When our clients ask about construction, we call Key Builders.
We first discovered Key Builders because we were doing work at a mutual job site. So we saw their workmanship as we worked alongside them. I was impressed with the organization and how they ran the project.
Later, we needed to have an addition put on a building, and we asked Key Builders to submit a proposal. We were blown away by the amount of detail that they included.
At the time, we were having issues with the company that was doing this work for us, so once we started to have good experiences with Key Builders, we just never went back to the other firm.
A: I would point to their organization, the way they put a job together, and the detail they put into their work. They get everyone together right away to get things hammered out. That’s hard to find this day and age.
They are really good about giving you ideas as you go along. They have more experience in certain trades, so they are good at giving ideas when things come up, regarding options you wouldn’t necessarily come up with on your own.
Even issues regarding warranty work, they are very, very good at taking care of that.
A: Their communication is excellent. They communicate clearly during the decision-making process.
A: Confident. They do what they say they are going to do. It is nice working with them.
A: Absolutely. They are very good at keeping a project on time and on budget, and you see everything before any costs are incurred.
