Thirty years ago, Key Builders started out as a small, two-person contractor doing residential renovation work in Princeton, Illinois.
In its early years, the firm developed a history of doing excellent, high-quality work. Soon it began making a name for itself with home construction, light commercial projects, and retrofits to educational facilities.
The firm continued to increase the size and sophistication of its projects, branching into design-build work through partnerships with architectural firms and taking on a construction management role, as firms hired Key Builders to oversee design and construction.
Over the years, Key Builders established a track record for doing a very diverse scope of work. From MRI facilities to seed-corn warehouses, from newspaper plants to industrial desulfurization plants, Key Builders established a reputation as an honest company that did quality work.
Key Builders has been a firm of strong values. Honesty and integrity. Quality work and open communication. Going the extra mile. Doing work right the first time. These were established as core values not just of those at the top, but of people throughout the organization. Key’s employees have consistently been high-caliber professionals who know and understand the value system that makes us a trusted business partner.
Throughout our history, we’ve remained relevant to our clients and competitive within our industry. We’ve built solid relationships with our clients with a history of quality work.
Today we’re building on our thirty years of experience, transitioning from a general contractor to a best-in-class design-build construction management firm.
