Troy Johnson, Project Manager

My job is to make sure our projects run on budget, on scope and on schedule. I manage work, time and money. I follow up with the contractors to make sure they stay on scope and to manage the quality of their work. Throughout the course of the project, I work with contractors, superintendents, owners, and the architects.

I’ve been in the construction industry for 25 years, and I’ve been with Key Builders for 17 years. I’ve worked all the way up from a laborer to my current position as a project manager. At Key Builders, I’ve worked as a carpenter, superintendent, field resource coordinator, and now project manager.

I enjoy making sure the customer gets excellent service and gets what they’re looking for. I enjoy building relationships with the customer, and I’m only satisfied when we not only meet customer expectations but that we exceed them.  That’s what drives me: servicing the customer.

I consider our team to be problem-solvers. If we encounter things that don’t work out the way they should on the job site, we usually come up with a solution to present to the architect to help solve the problem right away. We try to help make their job a little easier.
